Solana Surpasses Ethereum as Preferred Investment Option

Alex Krüger Highlights the Growing Potential of Solana
Renowned economist Alex Krüger has captured the attention of the market with his recent analysis of Ethereum and its main competitor, Solana (SOL). According to Krüger, Solana has already achieved “escape velocity” and is positioned to outperform Ethereum in the future.
In his latest update to his 184,000 followers on the social media platform X, Krüger emphasized the need to reconsider investments in the ETH asset. He declared, “It’s long overdue to stop betting on the ETH asset,” citing Ethereum’s lackluster performance in recent years as evidence.
Krüger further elaborated on his views during the recent US presidential election, revealing his initial plans to invest in ETH and SOL if crypto-friendly candidate Donald Trump gained momentum. However, circumstances have led Krüger to change his strategy, now excluding Ethereum from his investment plans in favor of Solana. He is drawn to the memecoin craze and SOL’s dominance in the “degenerate wars.”
“A Trump victory would be positive for altcoins. I’m not bearish on ETH/USD. But there are plenty of other coins to buy,” Krüger stated. He also pointed out the ongoing bearish trend in ETH/BTC and the shift of on-chain activity to alternative platforms, highlighting that Ethereum’s layer-2 (L2) ecosystems contribute little to its overall value.
The discussion also touched on the potential regulatory impact in the United States, where changes at the SEC could support the issuance of ETFs based on cryptocurrencies, including ETH and SOL. However, Krüger’s focus is clearly on Solana.
Currently, Ethereum is trading at $2,486.33, while Solana is valued at $176.15, indicating the emerging market reality where Solana appears to be gaining momentum.
