What Will Be the Cost of Bitcoin in 2025?
Analysts have recently reaffirmed their prediction that Bitcoin’s price will reach US$200 by the year 2025. Gautam Chhugani and Mahika Sapra, analysts at Bernstein, have upheld the latest update of BTC’s target of US$200 by the end of 2025, as reported by The Block on June 19th. They have also pointed out an increase in the price target, raising it from US$150,000 to US$200,000 by the end of 2025. This forecast is based on the expected momentum of Bitcoin due to the high demand for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on spot Bitcoin and the marginal production cost of miners of the leading cryptocurrency. The publication highlights that the current Bitcoin price range of US$60,000 is equivalent to the value of less than US$10,000 recorded in June 2020, shortly after the bitcoin halving. The analysts also noted that despite the 53% increase in the value of the largest cryptocurrency, which started the year at US$42,000, the cycle might still be in its early stages. They emphasized the increased visibility of institutional demand driven by ETFs and the marketing efforts of major asset managers, such as Blackrock with $20 billion assets under management for Bitcoin ETFs, which might lead to potential $80-100 billion crypto deals over the cycle. They believe that asset managers have every incentive to increase marketing and distribution to grow their crypto businesses.
